Indian vehicle sales up 3.3% in June 2016

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) reported on July 11 that total vehicle sales in June 2016 increased by 3.3% y/y to 279,486 units versus 270,664 units in June 2015.  PVs (passenger vehicle, UV and van) sales were up 2.7% to 223,454 units. CVs (M&HCVs and LCVs) sales were up 5.6% to 56,032 units. ....
