In 2024, CATL updated the original EVOGO battery swap brand to "Choco-Swap". CATL launched next-generation battery swapping solutions and established the Choco-Swap Ecosystem with nearly 100 partners. For swappable batteries, CATL introduced two standard swappable battery models named #20 and #25, analogous to 92 and 95 octane gasoline. Each model is available in lithium-iron phosphate and ternary lithium variants with different capacity to meet diversified user requirements. By the end of 2025, the company will open 1,000 battery swap stations. Each of the stations will be compatible with wheelbases from 2.55m to 3.1m and contain a warehouse housing 14-30 batteries, delivering a swap success rate of 99.99% and a swap time as little as 100s.
