Exclusive Interview: AAPICO's strategy vision and developments for EV in Thai market

An interview was conducted with Viroj Patcharawattanakul, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of AAPICO, a major Thai supplier, to explore how the company leverages its core competencies to maintain and enhance its competitiveness. AAPICO was established in 1996 and was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) in 2002. The company manufactures a wide range of automotive components, including assembly jigs, stamping dies, metal-formed parts, plastic parts, casting parts, and forged and machined components, supplying them to major OEMs both domestically and internationally.

Supply chain: Ford Bronco
It is equipped with either a 2.7L 6-cylinder turbo engine or a 2.3L 4-cylinder turbo engine. It is manufactured at the Michigan Assembly plant. Many of its key components are sourced from European and American suppliers, including Dana for powertrain systems, Visteon for clusters, Bosch for engine ECUs, Aumovio and Aptiv for millimeter-wave radars, and Aptiv for front cameras. Furthermore, many of these suppliers are companies based in the Americas (including the United States and Mexico).
