The Renault 5 (Cinq) E-TECH Electric is the first mass-produced EV to adopt the “AmpR Small” (formerly CMF-B EV) platform developed by Ampere for compact EVs. The electric powertrain is manufactured at the Cléon plant in France. The drive battery uses NMC lithium-ion cells and modules produced by Envision AESC at its Douai gigafactory. The battery case is produced by the Ruitz plant. French suppliers such as Forvia, Valeo, and OPmobility provide key interior and exterior components.
