Business Overview

-The Company provides automotive lighting systems for both four-wheel and two-wheel vehicle applications. The Company primarily serves the Indian automotive market.

-The DK Jain Group owns 36% of the Company while Stanley Electric owns 37.5% of the Company. The remaining 26.4% is owned by public and corporate bodies. The Company is listed on the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.

1945 Founded as a trading company.
1956-1966 Set up manufacturing units for automotive lighting equipment.
1975 Set up manufacturing unit for automotive filters.
1984 Became a public company. Started technical collaboration with Stanley Electric Co. Ltd.
1985-87 The Company went public and listed its shares in the stock market. Start of operations by the manufacturing unit at Gurgaon, Haryana for Maruti Suzuki.
1990 Auto bulb manufacturing unit set up in association with Stanley
1994 Stanley Electric Co. Ltd. acquired financial stake in the Company
Manufacturing unit established at Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
2004 Separated from mirror and filter division to focus on automotive lighting products.
2008 Plant setup in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand for Tata Motors and expansion of Dharuhera and Chakan Plants.
2010 New plant set up at Haridwar, Uttarakhand dedicated solely for Hero Moto Corp.
2011 Plants set up at Bawal, Sanand and Bidadi
2015 The Company’s plant at Pantnagar awarded with JIPM-TPM Excellence Award in Category A
