History

May 1906 Established Owari Clock Co., Ltd. with 100,000 yen in capital for the purpose of producing and selling wall clocks and alarms clocks to China and Southeast Asia.
Oct. 1961 Listed on the Nagoya Stock Exchange Second Section.
Jan. 1961 Established Moriyama Mtg. Co., Ltd. (currently a consolidated subsidiary).
May 1961 Renamed to Owari Precise Products Co., Ltd. ceased producing wall and alarm clocks to focus on the producing automotive transmissions, screws, and aircraft parts.
Jul. 1966 Constructed a new hot-forging plant at the home-office plant.
May 1968 Constructed a new processing plant in Owariasahi City, Aichi Prefecture.
Jun. 1970 Constructed a new hot-forging plant in Owariasahi City, Aichi Prefecture.
Mar. 1981 Constructed a heat-treatment plant at the home-office plant facility.
Feb. 1982 Started producing shift forks, which are core components of automotive transmissions.
Jan. 1985 Transferred the home office tool plant to the Asahi plant.
Mar. 1992 Constructed a new plasma spraying plant at the Asahi plant.
May 1994 Acquired the stock in Kounan Mtg. Co., Ltd. (which is currently a consolidated subsidiary).
Apr. 1995 Constructed a new cold-forging plant at Mino Techno-Park, Mino City, Gifu Prefecture.
Apr. 1999 Acquired ISO9002 certification at the home office and Mino plants.
Dec. 1999 Acquired ISO9002 certification at the Asahi plant.
Mar. 2000 Constructed a middle-ring plant at the Asahi plant.
Apr. 2002 Established OSR, Inc. (currently a consolidated subsidiary) in Indiana, USA.
Oct. 2002 ISO14001 obtained at the head office, Asahi Plant and Mino Plant.
Dec. 2002 Established Owari Precision (India) Private Limited (currently a consolidated subsidiary) in Bangalore, India.
Sep. 2003 Head office, Mino plant and Asahi plant were re-certified under the year 2000 version of ISO9001.
Jun. 2004 Established a joint venture, Hexas Precision (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd., in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China. The Company invested 10% of the capital.
Jan. 2005 Refurbished the cold forging plant at the headquarters facility.
Nov. 2006 Obtained TS16949, which is an international standard specifying quality requirements for automotive parts, as well as ISO9001 at its headquarters, Asahi plant, Mino plant, and Hiroshima office.
Mar. 2007 Established OYT Co. Ltd. in Rayong prefecture, Thailand. The company is currently a consolidated subsidiary.
Sep. 2009 Increased its stake in Asahi Tekkojo Co., Ltd. and made it a subsidiary. Asahi Tekkojo Co., Ltd. is currently a consolidated subsidiary.
Oct. 2012 Merged and absorbed the operations of Asahi Steelworks into Moriyama Corporation, which became the surviving company.
Jan. 2013 Added a building at the Mino Plant, establishing Mino Coating, which is located on the second floor.
Apr. 2016 Established Owari Seiki Indnesia, PT in West Java, Indonesia.
Apr. 2020 OSR, Inc., located in Indiana, USA, purchased land and relocated its production plant.
Dec. 2021 Acquired and absorbed the operations of Mino Coating.
