Business Overview

-A lock manufacturer that provides a comprehensive range of key and keyless products to many industry areas such as automobile, housing, industrial instruments, etc.

-The Company's automotive parts division designs, develops and manufactures automobile key sets, door handles and other products.

  • The main products of the key set are electronic and intelligent keys, without teeth, that are supported by keyless technology.
  • The main handle products are grip door handles that utilize hollow and solid-core technologies. The Company also developed technologies including color plating and high corrosion resistant chrome plating handles.



Financial Overview

-In FY ended March 2016, the Company's sales reached JPY 50.02 billion, a 2.9% increase year-over-year (y/y) on a consolidated basis. Its operating profit was JPY 1.33 billion, down 19.2% y/y, ordinary profit was JPY 96 million, down 96.2% y/y, and net income attributable to owners of parent company was JPY 397 million. The auto parts business accounted for 84.5% of the Company's overall sales.

-In October 2016, the Company announced that it completed the acquisition of ASSA ABLOY's car access and security business on September 30. ASSA ABLOY, a Sweden-based company, designs, develops, and produces door opening and closing systems. The acquired assets from ASSA ABLOY include design and production facilities in the Czech Republic, Mexico, and China.

-In October 2015, the Company absorbed Gumma Alpha Co., Ltd. into its own operations. Gumma Alpha engaged in production and sales of zinc die-casting products.

1923 Established as a manufacturer of metal parts for key cylinders.
