Outside Japan

-Brazil
A new plant building at Yachiyo de Brasil Industria e Comercio de Pecas Ltda. (YBI) was completed in February 2011. YBI is the Yachiyo Group’s first plant in South America to produce resin fuel tanks. Commercial production is scheduled to begin in January 2012.

-India
In March 2011, a ground-breaking ceremony was held at the new plant building at Yachiyo India Manufacturing Private Limited (YIM), which is scheduled to start commercial production of resign fuel tanks in July 2012.

In Japan

In July 2007, the Company announced that it had acquired land adjacent to its Yokkaichi Factory in order to build an engine assembly facility; and then announced in March 2008 that it also would build a plastics-forming/processing plant and an automobile assembly plant. The engine assembly facility was completed in May 2009 and already has started operations. On the other hand, the Company has decided to abandon its plan to build the plastics-forming/processing plant and automobile assembly plant in the wake of the difficult economic situation following the collapse of Lehman Brothers. Instead, the Company will produce mini-cars for Honda at Honda’s Suzuka Plant starting in 2012.
