Developments Outside Japan


-In August 2016, Usui Automotive Parts (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new plant in the Jinshan Industrial Park, Shanghai, China. -In June 2016, Jiaxing USUI Tsurumi Precision Tube Industry Co.,Ltd. held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new plant in the Jiaxing Economic and Technological Development Zone in Zhejiang Province, China. -In December 2014, the Company announced that its Chinese subsidiary, Jiaxing USUI Tsurumi Precision Tube Industry Co.,Ltd., has held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new plant at the Zhejiang Jiaxing Economic Development Zone. -In Aug. 2013, the Company announced that its Chinese subsidiary, Usui Pipe Systems (Hefei) Co., Ltd., held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new plant in the Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone in Anhui Province. -In Jun. 2013, the Company announced that its subsidiary, Usui Automotive Part (Foshan) Co., Ltd., launched production at the second plant in June 2013. -In March 2014, the Company announced that it has held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of its plant at PT. Usui International Indonesia. -In Oct. 2013, the Company announced that Usui International Corporation (Thailand) Ltd. (UICT) has completed the construction of a new plant. The new plant has a production system which integrates brazing and plating. (From a press release on October 25, 2013)

-In Oct. 2009, UICT opened its second manufacturing facility in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, Thailand, in July 2009. -In July 2013, the Company announced that its Mexican subsidiary, Usui International manufacturing Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (UIMM), held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new plant in Silao, Guanajuato. -In May 2015, the Company announced that its Indian subsidiary, USUI SUSIRA International Private Limited, has held an opening ceremony for a new plant in the suburbs of Chennai. (From a press release on May 22, 2015)

-In May 2013, the Company announced that it has acquired all of the shares of India-based SUSIRA Industries Ltd., and has turned it into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Usui Kokusai Sangyo. SUSIRA Industries, whose market share of engine valve push rods is roughly 80%, changed its corporate name and has been operating as "USUI SUSIRA International Private Limited" since April 2013. -In July 2008, USUI International Corporation Virginia Plant started production of fuel injection tubes at its new plant. With the opening of a new facility the Company will meet the increasing demand for diesel engine parts in the light of an anticipated surge in the popularity of diesel cars. --In Aug. 2015, the Company announced that it has celebrated the completion of a new facility at its Izu-Nagaoka Plant in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The company aims to strengthen the product competitiveness of its externally controlled fan drives and high efficiency fan drives that are contributing to improve engine fuel efficiency.
