Business Overview
-In 2015, the Company's operating revenue was up to 4,884.11 million yuan. (From 2015 annual report of Company's parent company, HUAYU Automotive System Co., Ltd.)
New factory
-The Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Heqing Plant in the Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park on January 15, 2016. The new plant will be constructed on 116,200 square meters of land, and will produce automotive air conditioners and compressors. The company will invest approximately CNY 1 billion in this project, which will be carried out in two phases. The first phase is expected to be completed in February 2017. Recent Development
-Chengdu Behr Thermal System Co., Ltd., which was invested by Shanghai Behr Thermal System Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, began production operations in February 2015. The first lot of products, including radiators, were delivered to FAW-VW's Chengdu plant and used on the new Jetta and the new Sagitar.
R&D Facilities
-The Company has a Technical Center with around 200 staff, which consists of the product engineering department and the test center.
-Shanghai Behr Thermal System Co., Ltd., which is a subsidiary of the Company, with a team of cooling, heat exchange and air-conditioning systems. There is about 150 engineers who are engaged in the R&D activities.
Patents
-As of 2015, the Company had applied 298 patents altogether, including 1 international patent and 102 invention patents.
Investment in China
-Shanghai Behr Thermal System Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, established Chengdu Behr Thermal System Co., Ltd. in 2013 with a registered capital of CNY 50 million. The plant produced air conditioner modules, cooling modules, condensors, charge air coolers, radiators, etc. It came into operation in Feb. 2015.
