- Baidu primarily provides search-based, information stream, and other online marketing services, as well as products and services from new AI fields. Over the past decade, Baidu has invested in cutting-edge areas such as deep learning, conversational AI operating systems, autonomous driving, and AI chips, making Baidu a leading AI company with a robust internet foundation. Baidu's business operations are mainly conducted in Mainland China. For the year ended December 31, 2023, over 97% of net revenue was derived from Mainland China, and more than 78% of total assets were located in Mainland China as of December 31, 2023.

- Baidu's founder, chairman, and CEO is Robin LI (Yanhong LI). Mr. LI graduated from Peking University in 1991 with a degree in Information Management and earned a master's degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has served as a senior consultant for Dow Jones, designed the real-time financial information system for The Wall Street Journal Online, and was a senior engineer at Infoseek.

- In the automotive field, Baidu began its intelligent driving initiatives in 2013. Currently, Baidu's intelligent driving business includes the autonomous ride-hailing service Apollo Go, Apollo Self-Driving Solutions, DuerOS for Auto, and the smart electric vehicle company Jidu Auto (now Jiyue Auto), a joint venture with Zhejiang Geely Holding Group.
