Auto China 2026: Xiaomi Auto and HIMA by Huawei
Xiaomi VGT Concept Car debuts in China; HIMA unveils its "Jie" models
Summary
The 19th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2026 ) was held from April 24 to May 3, 2026, at the China International Exhibition and Convention Center and the Capital International Exhibition Center, which is a new venue for this year's event. A large number of major and prominent domestic and international automakers, parts suppliers, and tech companies exhibited, with a total exhibition area of 380,000 square meters. According to the event organizer, 1,451 vehicles were on display at this year's event, of which 181 were making their world premiere and 71 were concept cars. More than 200 press conferences were held during the show.
On April 24, Xiaomi Auto held a press conference at the motor show, where CEO Jun LEI announced the latest developments at Xiaomi Auto. The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo (VGT) was unveiled for the first time at a motor show in China, and it was revealed that the all-new model YU7 GT will be officially announced at the end of May.
Huawei (Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.) held the HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) Spring Product Launch on April 22, prior to the Auto China 2026 Beijing motor show. In addition to the announcement of various HIMA models such as the AITO M6, the improved AITO M9 series, the Luxeed V9, and the SAIC/Shangjie Z7/Z7T, Huawei also officially released the new Chinese brand name for "Huawei DriveONE," "Huawei Zhiqing." At this motor show, all five of HIMA's "Jie" distinct partner brands, developed in collaboration with state-owned automakers, were on display, showcasing several new models covering a wide range of prices.
This report introduces the main new models of Xiaomi Auto and HIMA, which are developed by Huawei, that were exhibited at the Auto China 2026. Huawei is also deepening its partnerships with GAC , Dongfeng , and SGMW, and operates three brands with them: Aistaland, Yijing, and Huajing, respectively. Unlike the "5 Jie" series of models with HIMA, these are part of the "Jiang" series which are branded and sold primarily by automakers, with Huawei providing full-stack intelligent technology.
