This report summarizes various auto parts being used in the all-new, fourth-generation Prius, which were exhibited by parts suppliers at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015. The all-new Prius will go on sale in December 2015.
Denso Corporation exhibited a downsized power control unit (PCU), an air-conditioning module, and other parts among the 85 parts it supplies for the all-new Prius.
Aisin Group displayed a downsized 2-motor hybrid transmission, a rear-wheel drive unit for the electronic 4-wheel drive system (the first ever to be mounted on a Prius), a grille shutter, and other parts.
Toyota Industries Corporation exhibited a DC-DC converter, rear inverter, electric compressor, and AC inverter for an in-cabin socket.
Toyota Boshoku Corporation exhibited a front seat with a frame that is compatible with the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. displayed a single-LED, bi-functional projector.
