- The Global Light Vehicle (LV) selling rate for December was 91 mn units/year, a relatively positive result given the continued backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic. In year-on-year (YoY) terms, the global market rose 2.3% last month, supported by growth in both China and the US, and with stability returning in South America and some European markets.
- For full-year 2020, the headline global figure now lies 14% below 2019’s result, at 77.7 mn units, in a year dominated by the economic fallout from COVID-19 induced lockdowns.
