The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) announced the production and sales volumes of passenger cars (including sedans, SUVs, and MPVs, excluding minivans) for April 2026.
Retail
April retail sales volumes of passenger cars totaled 1.384 million units, reflecting a year-over-year (y/y) decrease of 21.5%.
New Energy Vehicles (NEVs)
In April, wholesale volumes of new energy passenger cars totaled 1.225 million units, up 7.5% y/y.
