The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) announced the production and sales volumes of passenger cars (including sedans, SUVs, MPVs but not minivans) for January 2021.
Retail
January retail sales of passenger cars totaled 2.160 million units, reflecting a 25.7% year-over-year (y/y) increase.
New energy vehicles (NEV)
In January, wholesale volumes of NEV passenger cars were 168,000 units, up by 290.6% y/y.
