Ford reported considering BYD batteries for overseas-built hybrid vehicles
Ford is reported to be in talks with China’s BYD about supplying batteries for hybrid vehicles to the automaker’s overseas factories, according to people familiar with the negotiations. BYD is among several battery suppliers Ford is talking to, the people said, and no deal is imminent.
