On October 29, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (hereafter, Mitsubishi Motors) held a press conference at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, taking place at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo, Japan from October 29 through November 9. During the event, Takao Kato, president and chief executive officer, took the stage to present the world premiere of the Mitsubishi Elevance Concept, an electrified crossover SUV concept that embodies Mitsubishi Motors’ commitment to adventure and driving pleasure.
Under the booth theme “Forever Adventure,” Mitsubishi Motors is presenting vehicles that express the timeless joy of exploration. “We have always strived to develop vehicles that make you want to set off in search of unseen landscapes, that you can drive with confidence in any weather or on any road surface, and that bring you home safely and securely from every adventure—all while being environmentally conscious and allowing you to enjoy nature to the fullest,” said Kato. He cited symbolic models such as the Outlander PHEV, a plug-in hybrid electric midsize SUV; the Triton pickup truck; and the Delica Mini, a light super tall wagon k-car. He then introduced the Mitsubishi Elevance Concept as a new proposal that continues this adventurous spirit, saying it represents the company’s determination “to embrace advanced driver assistance technologies while never losing sight of the pure joy of driving for everyone on board.”
The Mitsubishi Elevance Concept integrates advanced electrification and Mitsubishi Motors’ signature Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) technologies. Its plug-in hybrid electric system combines a high-efficiency engine compatible with carbon-neutral fuel and a quad-motor electric 4WD system, with S-AWC technology enabling confident, comfortable driving across diverse driving scenarios – from urban streets to off-road adventures.
In addition to the Elevance Concept, Mitsubishi Motors also showcased the updated Delica D:5, an all-around minivan that has evolved with enhanced road handling and styling, and the all-new Delica Mini that combines a compact body with the toughness and adventurous spirit of the Delica brand.
