Thai cabinet approves HEV/MHEV excise tax cuts and EV3 production period extension
Announced on April 28, 2025, the Thai Cabinet has approved (i) a reduction in excise tax for hybrid and mild hybrid vehicles to between 6% and 12%, and (ii) an extension of the production period for compensatory vehicles under the EV3 program to better align with domestic market conditions.
