New York, Detroit 2020 auto shows not yet affected by coronavirus outbreak

Unlike the recently-cancelled Geneva Auto Show, organizers of the 2020 New York International Auto Show, scheduled for April 10-19, have not indicated any change in plans.
In a statement on February 28, the New York organizers said, "We are moving forward with plans to open the show as scheduled. The Javits Center is taking precautionary measures inside the venue to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, and the New York Auto Show will follow its lead to protect exhibitors and attendees."
Organizers of the North American International Auto Show are equally confident that its event in Detroit, moved from the traditional January time slot to June 9-20 for 2020, will go on as scheduled.
On February 28, Rod Alberts, executive director of the NAIAS show, said, "We are closely monitoring the latest information about the novel coronavirus and are reviewing our policies and procedures. We remain optimistic that these health issues will be resolved before the 2020 NAIAS occurs in June."
