Thailand EV tax exemption requires construction of local battery plant within 5 years
According to Thailand director of Tax Planning Bureau, EV makers who receive an excise tax waiver are required to set up local EV battery plants within five years. If they fail to comply with the requirement, they are subject to fines and interest as stipulated by the government.
