Toyota launches Innova in Argentina

Toyota is launching its Innova minivan in Argentina.
The eight-passenger Innova is imported to Argentina from the Karawang Plant in Indonesia.
The rear-wheel drive minivan shares a platform and many components with the Hilux and SW4, including a six-speed automatic transmission.
The 166 hp 16-valve 2.7-liter engine that powers the Innova was used in the previous generation Hilux and SW4 sold in Argentina.
The Hilux and SW4 are still produced in Zárate with this engine, but only for export.
The Innova is imported into the country with a 35% customs duty, but Toyota will analyze the possibility of producing it locally at the Zárate plant if the market demand is high enough.
