Mexican vehicle sales fall 7.3% in July

On August 1, the Mexican automotive association AMIA reported sales of 122,110 light vehicles in July, representing a 7.3% decrease from the same month in 2016.
Sales of 865,161 vehicles through the first seven months of 2017 represent a 1.4% increase over the same period in 2016.
Kia sold 7,254 units in July, an increase of 31.7% from 2016, and 48,309 units in the first seven months of 2017, up 66.5% from the same period a year earlier.
Hyundai sales increased 9.3% to 3,337 units.
Volkswagen Group sales decreased 2.3% to 20,647 units.
General Motors sold 19,693 units in July, a decrease of 21.7% from last year.
Ford sold 6,732 units, a decrease of 19.4%, and FCA sold 8,459 units, an increase of 11.1%.
Nissan sales of 28,267 units in July decreased 14.9% from the same month last year.
Toyota sold 7,847 units in July, a decrease of 5.3% from 2016, and Honda sold 6,612 units, a decrease of 4.8% from last year.
Mazda sales increased 8.8% to 4,476 units.
