GM expanding operations at Oshawa Assembly plant in 2018
General Motors will add a second shift to its Oshawa Assembly facility in Canada to build the Chevrolet Silverado, according to a letter published on April 24 by Canadian union Unifor.
The new shift will create about 500 jobs.
Currently, 902 people are working at the two lines in the plant.
