U.S. car sales increased 2.5% in June, 1.5% for first half
U.S. light vehicle sales of 1,513,997 units in June 2016 were up 2.5% compared to the same month last year. Truck and SUV sales rose 11.4% from last year, to 891,329 units, while total passenger car sales declined 8.0% to 622,668 units. The overall SAAR for June 2016 was 16.66 million units.
