Valeo developed 48V 4WD EV Kei (mini) truck demo car with CRANTS of Gunma University. The 48V 4WD EV is equipped with two 15kW Valeo 48V electric motors (eDrive), one on the front and the other on the rear axle, and one DC / DC converter. It realizes 4WD EV with excellent acceleration performance and four-wheel drive capability at a reasonable price, answering perfectly the needs of a clean, robust and reliable EV light truck. It will fit also to the new small new mobility vehicle category.
-Fixed constant velocity joints developed for front wheels with a high maximum operating angle of 55 degrees and approximately 50% reduction in torque loss compared to conventional products. It leverages a proprietary spherical cross groove structure in which the spherical ball raceways grooves of inner ring and outer ring are inclined to the axial direction with each other, which reduces torque loss over a wide range of operating angles. It also features high-strength components and improved lubrication. It contributes to the improvement of smaller minimum turning radius and higher fuel efficiency of vehicles such as SUVs and 4WD models.>>>Click for more information
