On May 10, Volkswagen Group Polska announced that Volkswagen Poznań Foundry will be completely neutral in terms of carbon dioxide emissions by 2040. It is introducing further pro-environmental solutions that enable it to reduce energy and water consumption. At present, it uses 100% renewable sources.

The heat generated in the foundry heats the apartments of thousands of Poznań residents instead of being released into the atmosphere. Thanks to it, the consumption of carbon dioxide is reduced by approximately 3,500 tons.

The foundry also produced one hundred million components. The foundry produces components for electric cars of various brands of the VW group, including all models from the ID family (ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7 and ID. Buzz.

On May 8, Bentley unveiled the all-new V8 hybrid powertrain which is a successor to its 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine. The ultra performance hybrid engine delivers the highest power output ever for a Bentley, surpassing output of 750 PS with over 50 miles of electric range. This surpasses the W12 engine by at least 91 PS.

As Bentley's W12 engine nears retires this summer after 105,000 units produced over two decades, the ultra performance hybrid engine emerges as the flagship powertrain for Bentley's future lineup of electrified luxury vehicles. On May 8, Automobili Lamborghini unveiled its first plug-in hybrid Urus SE SUV in the Middle East region at an event in Dubai. The Urus SE combines a re-engineered twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine with an electric powertrain, delivering an output of 800 CV and 950 Nm of torque, the highest in its category. With both thermal and electric power, emissions are reduced by 80%.
