On May 8, Changan Mazda unveiled the interior design of the new EZ-6 electric sedan.

Adopting the “Authentic×Modern” design philosophy, the interior of the EZ-6 presents the modern luxury sense of an electric vehicle while following Mazda’s people-oriented development concept.

The EZ-6 comes with a horizontal center console design that frees the driver’s vision from being affected by the interior, the same one-piece seat design as the MX-5, and the first zero-gravity seat in a joint-venture New Energy sedan.

The EZ-6 is equipped with configurations such as a large panoramic sunroof, a 14.6-inch HD LCD touch screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, and a Sony premium customized surround sound audio system.

Mazda's FY2023 full-year financial results were announced.
Sales increased 26.2% YoY to JPY 4,827.7 billion. This was a JPY 1,000.9 billion increase over the previous year's JPY 3,826.8 billion.
Operating income increased 76.4% YoY to JPY 250.5 billion. This was a JPY 108.5 billion increase over the previous year's JPY 142.0 billion.
Ordinary income increased 72.2% YoY to JPY 320.1 billion. It was JPY 134.2 billion more than the previous year's JPY 185.9 billion.
Net income increased 45.4% YoY to JPY 207.7 billion. This was a JPY 64.9 billion increase over the previous year's net income.

On April 25, Mazda reduced the price of the MX-30 in response to the UK Government’s decision to not incentivize EV adoption. The company has dropped the price of MX-30 BEV to a starting price of GBP 27,995, making it the most affordable electric SUV on the market compared to many combustion-engine cars.

According to the company, the narrative around EVs needs to be changed, with support for increased home charging installations, improved public charging infrastructure, and government incentives that account for costs throughout the ownership cycle.
