The Gestamp factory in Taubate, Brazil will begin an extra shift dedicated to the production of components for the Volkswagen Nivus, a new SUV that will launch in the first half of 2020 from VW’s Anchieta plant in Sao Bernardo do Campo. The Nivus uses the same MQB modular platform as the Polo and Virtus. According to Gestamp, 80 new hires will be added to 120 current employees for the new shift that will produce parts exclusively for the Nivus....
