On April 18, Audi announced that it will present its all-electric portfolio and strategy tailored for the Chinese market at Auto China 2024, starting April 25, 2024. The new Audi Q6L e-tron's exterior will debut at Volkswagen Group Night on April 24, 2024, followed by its public unveiling alongside the Q5 e-tron RS and SQ6 at Auto China.

The Q6L e-tron introduces the PPE platform in China, with Audi FAW NEV Company set to produce three PPE-based models by the end of 2024 at a new plant in Changchun. The facility will manufacture Audi's all-electric vehicles for China and emphasize digitalization, efficiency, and sustainability.
Audi's electrification strategy for China includes a growing portfolio of new battery-electric models. Audi is represented in China by the subsidiary Audi China in Beijing, the joint venture FAW-Volkswagen with headquarters in Changchun, SAIC Volkswagen in Shanghai, and the new production site in Changchun, operated under the joint venture Audi FAW NEV Company.

On April 8, FAW FinDreams New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (FAW FinDreams) announced the recent holding of a launch ceremony for the mass production of its PA75 power battery, the first FAW Hongqi HME platform-based chargeable, swappable, and upgradeable battery.

Upon full commissioning of the FAW FinDreams New Energy Vehicle power battery project, the company will be able to provide blade batteries for nearly 600,000 vehicles. The first batch will be applied to a new FAW Hongqi battery electric vehicle.

According to multiple press releases dated April 1, FAW Nanfang (Shenzhen) Technology Development Co., Ltd. was recently established in Shenzhen, Guangdong.

Information from the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System (NECIPS) shows that the new company has a registered capital of CNY 100 million and is wholly owned by China FAW Group Corp., Ltd. (FAW Group). Its business scope includes R&D of automotive components; research, testing, and development of engineering technology; technology intermediary services; and information technology consulting services.
