On February 16, Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced that it will establish a simplified safety screening system for U.S.-made cars to support Toyota Motor and other Japanese OEMs that plan to reverse-import vehicles produced in their U.S. plants.
