Avancez lays off 143 as GM idles Factory Zero EV production
On November 7, automotive supplier Avancez filed a WARN notice revealing plans to terminate 143 workers starting December 5 due to production cuts at General Motors’ all-electric Factory Zero in Detroit-Hamtramck. Following the layoffs, the remaining headcount at the facility will be around 230 team members.
