Rivian approved for major plant expansion in Normal, Illinois for R2 production
On August 19, the Normal Town Council voted in favor of Rivian’s plant expansion for production of its upcoming R2 SUV. The amendments to its site plan include a new “R2” building, a 1.14-million square-foot structure on the east side of the main plant.
