Mercedes-Benz recalls EVs in U.S. due to software causing battery shutdown
On May 28, U.S. National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling 14,912 of its 2023-2025 electric vehicles because the battery management system software may cause the high-voltage battery to shut down, which can result in a sudden loss of drive power.
