Consumer Reports testing compares real-world EV results with official EPA range estimates
On December 5, Consumer Reports presented real-world findings on EV range, compared to the official US EPA ratings. The organization tested 22 EVs and found that nearly 50% fell short of their official EPA-estimated ranges when driven at highway speeds of 70 MPH.
