ExxonMobil drills first lithium well in Arkansas, targets start of production in 2027
On November 13, Exxon Mobil Corporation announced that it has begun work in developing a lithium well in southwest Arkansas. It expects to begin lithium production in 2027. It is aiming to produce enough lithium by 2030 to supply more than one million electric vehicles per year.
