On May 12, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) posted a document, after tentatively concluding an eight-year investigation, asking that ARC Automotive of Knoxville recall 67 million inflators in the U.S. because they could explode and hurl shrapnel.
