Tesla signs USD 1.5 billion deal for nickel from Talon Metals Corp.
On January 10, Tesla Inc. signed a deal to buy 75,000 tons of nickel over the next six years from Talon Metals Corp’s Tamarack mine project in Minnesota, its first U.S. nickel supply deal.
Any iron and cobalt by-products at the proposed mine are also part of the deal.
