Tesla earns its first-ever safety award from IIHS for Model 3
On September 19, IIHS announced its first safety award for Tesla, as the 2019 Model 3 qualified for TOP SAFETY PICK+.
The Model 3 joins one other battery electric vehicle, the Audi e-tron SUV, which also qualified for the award with standard equipment, and a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, the Hyundai Nexo.
