Canada responds to steel, aluminum tariffs with levies on CAD 16.6 billion of U.S. goods
On July 29, Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland announced finalized tariffs on CAD 16.6 billion (USD 12.6 billion) of U.S. goods and pledged money to support companies and workers hurt by U.S. levies on Canadian steel and aluminum exports.
