Indonesian sales up 5.7% in April

Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in April were 89,588 units up 5.7% year over year. It was the 13th consecutive month of increases.
January - April sales were up 6.1% to 373,407 units.
By automaker sales in April, Toyota was up 7.3% y/y to 33,328 units and Daihatsu was up 7.9% to 15,535 units. Honda was up 2.0% to 14,678 units. Suzuki was up 26.6% to 10,152 units. Mitsubishi was up 1.5% to 8,039 units.
Continued increase in vehicle sales strengthens the optimism of the Gaikindo on the realization of the annual target of 1.1 million units.
