General Motors announced on August 14 that it will invest BRL 6.5 billion (USD 2.9 billion) in Brazil from 2014 to 2018.
The automaker made the announcement to Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff while GM CEO Mary Barra was visiting Brazil.
