On April 15, Koç Holding A.Ş. announced that one of its group companies, TOFAŞ Türk Otomobil Fabrikası A.Ş. uses state-of-the-art systems such as smart screw tighteners, error-proofing screens, and illuminated part selection from digitalization projects in its assembly workshop.

The digitalization methods, powered by machine learning and artificial intelligence, increase the quality and reduce errors in the process.

Farasis Energy Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of Farasis Energy, a leading developer and manufacturer of battery technology, announced that it is planning to introduce its next generation of cells in 2024 and expand production to 50,000 packs.

The company and the Turkish car manufacturer Togg also have a battery plant in Gemlik, Turkey, with a production capacity of 8 GWh and over 700 employees. The company also plans to increase the plant’s production capacity to 20 GWh/a by 2031. (Based on Farasis Energy press release dated March 21, 2024)

On March 20, Ultraviolette Automotive marked its entry into the European markets by entering Turkiye. Along with K-Rides, it jointly showcased its F77 electric motorcycle at the Motobike Istanbul 2024 exhibition at the K-RIDES pavilion from March 20-23, 2024. Kibar Holding, a conglomerate in Turkey, has ventured into the two-wheeler vehicle sector with the establishment of its new company, K-Rides, towards the end of 2023. F77 can generate 30kw of peak power (40HP) and 10.3kWh battery pack
