Several South Korean media sources reported that Samkee America Inc., a joint company of Samkee Corporation and Samkee EV Corp., began supplying Hyundai with 8-speed automatic transmission (AT) valve bodies from its new plant in Alabama.

The company also plans to deliver timing chain covers for the Hyundai Theta 3 engines by the end of May 2024. These parts are used for the Hyundai Sorento, the Hyundai Sonata, and the Hyundai Tucson. (Based on several releases on May 2, 2024)

Continental AG (Continental) announced that it is providing three tires, EcoContact 6, PremiumContact 6, and CrossContact LX Sport, for OE fitment for Hyundai Tucson. 

The special rubber compound of the EcoContact 6 (available in 17 and 18 inch) minimizes energy absorption while driving and reduces friction and rolling resistance. The PremiumContact 6 (available in 19-inch) is specially designed for safe and comfortable driving. The special rubber compound in the tread ensures excellent safety and wet braking properties.  

For the Asia-Pacific region, Hyundai also offers the Tucson with the premium CrossContact LX Sport tire in size 18-inch.  The CrossContaxt LX Sport also has a reinforced side wall that protects against damage.

On April 25, Hyundai Motor presented its IONIQ 5 N midsize EV, the all-new Santa Fe midsize SUV, and the new Tucson compact SUV at Auto China 2024.

The IONIQ 5 N is Hyundai N's first high-performance electric vehicle. It represents the company's core electrification strategy, which seeks to promote flexibility in electrification. This model will be launched in China during the second half of 2024 supported by marketing campaigns that include events, so customers can test drive high-performance vehicles from the N brand.

Hyundai also introduced the all-new Santa Fe and the new Tucson models to expand the brand's SUV lineup in China. The Tucson will be launched during the first half of 2024, while the Santa Fe will be launched during the second half of the year, joining the already present Mufasa SUV that was launched in 2023 in the Chinese market.

The exhibition also features the "New Model Zone," the "N Zone," and the "Hydrogen Technology Zone," where the Chinese model of the hydrogen fuel cell EV NEXO is presented.
