On May 8, TTTech Auto announced that its MotionWise software is now in series production starting with Audi AG Q6 e-tron.
MotionWise is a modular solution for software-defined vehicles. It consists of a middleware ensuring the safe orchestration of vehicle software at runtime, and a comprehensive tool suite providing for rapid and predictable integration.

On May 8, ZKW announced that it has developed HD Matrix LED headlights, jointly with Audi, for Audi Q8. Development and production of the premium lighting system are based in Wieselburg.
It offers digital daytime running lights with selectable, digital light signatures that allow the headlights to be customized. The high-tech headlamp also has a dynamic indicator light and a blue ambient light for the laser.
The Q8 comes with LED headlights as standard. As an extra, there are HD Matrix LED headlights with 24 LEDs and one high-performance laser diode per headlight. Four different digital daytime running light signatures can be selected.
A high-performance laser diode illuminates the darkness in the top version of the Q8 headlamp.
The laser as an additional high beam is activated from a speed of 70 km/h and significantly increases the range of the high beam. ZKW uses the new production method, the Cobot system, to produce the Q8 headlamp. The assembly personnel work together with a collaborative robot.
On May 7, Fisker GmbH, the Austrian subsidiary of Fisker Inc., announced that it had voluntarily filed for a restructuring proceeding under the Austrian Insolvency Code. The proceeding will allow Fisker Austria to maintain operations under court protection, ensuring employee payment and vehicle sales. The proceeding will also allow the company to protect its business while it conducts a value-maximizing strategic transaction or other sale of assets.
The Austrian subsidiary aims to continue delivering its vehicles to customers to the extent possible, providing service, and updating its over-the-air software as it moves through the restructuring proceedings. Fisker’s other entities will not be included in the restructuring proceeding and continue to operate in the ordinary course.
According to multiple sources, Magna, Fisker's contract manufacturer, announced the reduction of 500 jobs at its Graz plant due to the halt in Fisker vehicle production. The future of Fisker Austria remains open but Magna assumes no plans for further vehicle production.
