Business Overview

-Manufactures and sells automobile suspension components and related dies, machine tools, etc.

-The Company delivers a majority of its products to Honda, which accounted for 60.4% of sales in the fiscal year that ended in March 2023. Following Honda, GM accounted for 11.4% of sales. 

-A total of 91.1% of sales were generated outside Japan, with North America accounting for the largest percentage at 65%. Despite the impact of semiconductor shortages, North American production increased due to yen depreciation and the effect of mass production of newly ordered products.

History

Jul. 1947 Began manufacturing metallic toys along with other products at 2100, Sezakicho, Soka, Saitama.
Nov. 1955 The business was incorporated with capital of 500,000 yen to establish the Fukuda Sesakujo Inc.
Oct. 1959 Began manufacturing motorcycle components at a factory jointly operated by Honda Motors Co., Ltd.
May 1964 Through a reorganization and name change, the Company became Fukuda Press Works Co., Ltd. with capital of 5 million yen.
Oct. 1986 Established a subsidiary, F&P Manufacturing Incorporated, for the purpose of manufacturing and selling components for automobiles, motorcycles, etc. based on a joint investment with American Honda Motor Company Inc. (of Ontario, Canada) and YUTAKA GIKEN CO.,LTD.
Dec. 1988 Changed its name to F-Tech Inc.
Apr. 1995 Concluded a contract with Nissan Shatai to supply automobile components.
Sep. 1996 Registered with Japan Securities Dealers Association
Mar. 1997 Concluded a contract with Isuzu Motors Co., Ltd. to supply automobile components.
Apr. 1997 Established a subsidiary DYNA-MIG Mfg., of  Stratford, Inc. for the purpose of manufacturing and selling automobile components based on a joint investment with Fukuda Engineering (of Ontario, Canada).
Mar. 1998 Received ISO 9002 certification from the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA ).
Feb. 1999 Concluded a contract with Daihatsu Motor to supply automobile components.
Apr. 1999 A subsidiary, F&P America Manufacturing Inc., received ISO 9002 certification from the ABS, quality evaluation organization.
Nov. 1999 All of the Company's received ISO 14001 certification from the ISC.
Jun. 2000 Concluded a contract with Nissan Motor to supply automobile components.
Oct. 2000 Established F&P Georgia Mfg. Inc. as a subsidiary in Georgia, USA for the purpose of manufacturing and selling automotive components based on a joint investment with F & P America Mfg., Inc. and F & P Mfg. Inc..

Mar. 2001 After concluding a contract with Toyota Manufacturing North America Inc. for the supply of automotive parts, commenced business.

Jun. 2001 Established a subsidiary, FEG DE QUERETARO S.A.DE CV, as a joint venture with the company's subsidiary, Fukuda Engineering, in Queretaro, Mexico, for the manufacture and sales of dies and press work.
Jan. 2002 Established a subsidiary, WEIFU Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. as a joint venture with Nichimen Corp., in Guangdong, China, for the manufacture and sales of automotive parts.
Nov. 2002 Kyushu F-tech Inc., its subsidiary, obtained ISO 9001.
Apr. 2003 Established F-TECH North America Inc. in Ohio, USA as administrative headquarters for its subsidiaries in North America. 
Apr. 2003 Established F-TECH R&D North America Inc. in Ohio, USA in order to develop new models for the North American market. 
Nov. 2004 Established F.TECH WUHAN INC. in Hubei, China in order to manufacture and sell automobile parts.
Mar.2006 Established F-Tech Mfg. Thailand Ltd. Ayutthaya Province, Thailand, in order to manufacture and sell automotive parts.
Sept. 2006 Listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was transferred to the1st Section. 
2007 Established a subsidiary, Futian Mould Technology (Yantai) Co., Ltd.
Nov. 2007 Acquired more shares of Reterra Corporation, which has an advantage in aluminum manufacturing technology, turning it into its subsidiary in order to enhance its development capabilities for reducing the weight of components.
Jul. 2008 Established a subsidiary, F-Tech R&D Philippines, Inc., in Laguna, Philippines, as the Company's first R&D base in Asia.

Aug. 2014 Established F.tech R&D North America Inc. European Branch, a subsidiary of F.tech R&D North America Inc., in Dusseldorf, Germany for the purpose of conducting market research on the European market.
Jun. 2016 Established the General Incorporated Scholarship Association (currently F-Tech Scholarship Corporation).
Sep. 2018 Established F-Tech Automotive Components Private Ltd., in Gurugram, India, to increase sales to OEMs.
Nov. 2020 Jointly invested with Vee Gee Industrial Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. in Vee Gee Auto Components Pvt. Ltd. located in Gujarat, India, for the purpose of manufacturing and selling auto parts.
Mar. 2021 Formed an alliance with Toyota Motor Corp. and started business transactions involving the delivery of auto parts.
Apr. 2022 Moved to the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange due to the TSE's reorganization.
May 2022 Acquired the stock shares held by Sumitomo Corporation in India Steel Summit Private Limited based in Uttar Pradesh, India, turning the company into a subsidiary for the purpose of processing steel and manufacturing stamped parts and dies.
Apr. 2023 Established F-Tech North America Inc in Michigan, U.S.A., to conduct sales activities in the North American region.
