Business Overview

Financial Overview

-In FY ended March 2016, the Company generated consolidated sales of JPY 8.93 billion, which was a 13.2% decrease on a year-over-basis (y/y). The Group's operating profit was JPY 727 million (a 21.8% increase y/y), ordinary profit was JPY 668 million (a 7.2% decrease y/y), and net income (attributable to owners of parent company) was JPY 498 million (a 20.7% decrease y/y). The automotive components business accounted for approximately 5% of the Company's overall sales.

History

Feb. 1932 Established in February with capital of 40,000 Yen as Japan's first carburetor factory.
Mar. 1933 Developed carburetor for automobile and aircraft.
Mar. 1951 Developed carburetor and fuel pump for automobiles and agricultural engines.
Mar. 1952 Capital was increased to 20 million yen.
Jan. 1960 Capital was increased to 50 million yen, and to 100 million yen in October.
Jan. 1960 Nagoya branch opened in January and Hiroshima branch in April.
Sep. 1960 Completed construction of the 2nd factory.
Jan. 1961 Completed construction of the headquarters.
Capital was increased to 150 million yen in August.
Oct. 1961 Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Sep. 2004 Established Nikki Soltech Co., Ltd., an unconsolidated subsidiary to develop, manufacture and sell fuel supply system for gas-based automobiles and acquisition of certificates for emission control tests.
Jun. 2005 Established Nikki Korea Co.,Ltd, which is currently a non-consolidated subsidiary, in South Korea
Nov. 2005 Established Nikki America Fuel Systems, LLC, which is currently a consolidated subsidiary in the U.S.A.
Apr. 2009 Nikki Soltech Co., Ltd. absorbed Nikki Service Corporation. The company name was changed to "Nikki Soltech Service Co., Ltd." 
Aug. 2011 Established Nikki India Fuel Systems Private Limited, as a non-consolidated subsidiary.
Aug. 2013 Established Nikki (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (a non-consolidated subsidiary).
