Sep. 1943 The company was established.
1953 Changed the company name to Wuxi Diesel Engine Works
1992 Joined the FAW Group.
1993 Changed the company name to China First Automobile Group Wuxi Diesel Engine Works.
Jan.2003 Became affiliated under FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. (a heavy- and medium-duty truck company) that China FAW established. Adopted the current company name, Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. Wuxi Diesel Engine Works.
May 2010 The Company's rebuilt engines manufacturing base, Wuxi Dahao Power Co., Ltd., opened.
Feb. 2012 The Company has completed the first phase of its construction project for a new diesel engine plant for heavy-duty vehicles in Huishan, Wuxi, and started its operations.
Dec. 2014 The company has established an engine research center called the FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. Wuxi Diesel Engine Works Engine Technical Institute.
Sep. 2017 FAW Jiefang Engine Branch officially merged into FAW Jiefang Wuxi Diesel Engine Factory and became the Xichai Sports Parts Department.
Oct. 2017 The Company and Deutz FAW (Dalian) Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. were formed by FAW as the FAW Jiefang Engine Division.
