Summary
At the World Smart Energy Week 2020 (period: February 26-28, 2020, venue: Tokyo Big Site), surgical masks were worn by almost all visitors inside the venue as a measure against the new coronavirus epidemic, and visitor body temperature checks were performed using thermography tools as visitors entered the venue. While many exhibitors decided not to participate, or opted to exhibit their products using display panels only and no booth staffing, other exhibitors participated in the standard manner. According to an announcement by the organizer, Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd., the number of visitors for World Smart Energy Week 2020 was only one-third that of last year (decreasing from 66,576 to 18,506 persons).
