The WCX18: SAE World Congress Experience was held from April 10 through April 12, 2018 in Detroit, Michigan, U.S. Green technology was a prevalent theme during the exhibition, with companies such as GM, Ford and American Axle showcasing battery electric and hybrid vehicles as well as systems designed to reduce or eliminate environmental impact. A number of speaking sessions showcased future plans and considerations for clean technologies and applications.

This report is the second of a series of reports which summarizes technologies, systems and ideas presented at WCX18 from displayed exhibits and speaking sessions. This report will focus on content related to environmentally friendly vehicle technologies. A report on the autonomous vehicles and the impact of self-driving technology was previously released. A report focused on mobility and connectivity will be released at a later date.
